We’re proud to unveil our latest addition to the data section.

We’ve gathered carve data, capture data, drop data and break data for every last monster in the game and now you can witness the awesome power of our fully functional carve guide!

Simply go to the items tab and start typing in the first few letters of the item you need and select it from the drop down box.

As if by magic a table shall appear with the odds of getting that item from all possible sources.

We’ve collated this from 4 differnet sources (big thanks to Minegarde, the mhp2g wiki, the mhf2 carve faq and the mhfu carve faq), corrected a few omissions and cleared up the mystery of why you can’t get certain items from the 1-2* Guild Hall quests.

While the data is the most complete and accurate source online for all your monster carving needs, there are bound to be one or two mistakes (you should see the size of the spreadsheet we had to enter this into, it’s a whopper!) so please let us know if you spot anything peculiar.

Expect more functionality to come later as we play with our data! We’ve some great ideas for handy tools we’re currently working on.

As Snuffkin pointed out, the new London Monster Hunter Gathering Hall is opening in London on Friday 3rd July. The ground and first floors will be open to the general public but on the super exclusive second floor there will be press, industry types, guest list and free booze (served from 7pm).

Capacom Europe has kindly given ROTR 10 slots on that guest list (booze list) for the opening event! These are being given away on a first come first served basis – just send your name to me (draconacticus@reign-of-the-rathalos.com) or Fresh (fresh@reign-of-the-rathalos.com) and we’ll sort you out with free booze.

You’ll be able to watch talented artists putting the finishing touches to the Gathering Hall, download exclusive quests not released to the public until after 30th August, play quests with other hunters and drink free booze!

The Encyclopedia Gigantica is now fully live and ready for your input! Get your buns over there and tell the monster hunting world your winning formula for killing nature’s mistakes.

Fresh is an admin there so lets help him feel at home in his new residence. 100 man points will be awarded each time the phrases “hit it till it dies” or “flashbombs, bring plenty of flashbombs” appears.

Capcom started the Encyclopedia Gigantica. It looks like it is their effort to bring the community together as it promises user registration, article rating and creation. You will be able to write your own dedicated guides for the given monsters, rate the weapons and so on.

Also Yama Tsukami is revealed as is Ukanlos. Head over there and take a look around.

Next up is a viral style promotion video found on youtube. Nice effort they are putting up now. Let’s hope it falls on fertile ground.

According to Kotaku, Capcom EU is planning to release a PSP bundle with MHFU. Let’s hope it be something cool like the Limited Edition MHP2G/MHP2 bundles in Japan.
