What’s new:
Lord Grahf has done it again. He has revised the damage formulas for Monster Hunter Freedom and discovered some minor differences to the ones of Monster Hunter PS2. Since I had used MH data before, I have now created this new version of the calculator to reflect these changes. The old calculator is located here with all the comments attached.
The major change is in the SnS line, which now really favors raw damage.
Instructions:
This one is really easy to use. Choose the wyvern, your HR, the quest level and the weapon line you’re
interested in. Press Submit and you will see a ProTip ™ and the preferable weapons based
on their damage output against this particular wyvern in descending order (best one first).
Status elements such as poison or paralysis are not taken into account. The PBA or the Expert
Sword for example are very good weapons but they will likely not rank very high in the
results since the specialized (elemental) weapons are almost always better.
So if you are looking for the best all around weapon for your rank and style, use your brains.

i had to do it with a friend at first
hopefully my friend (who i got to HR2 yesterday) is coming round tommorow, we both have BF so we will kick ass.
i aint been on this game for ages i intend to get back into it! ready for MHF2 later this year
Divine slasher is unbelivable powerfull, but u cant just swing a sword at a wyvern u g2 time an plan ur attacks that is the key to succes
i keep failing, i use BF on the head all the way with rath armour (attack up med) and i use T-Tip with demondrugs.
i also use LBB and LBB+
im so annoyed that im actually swearing at him.
i did get some pretty radical surfing action on his back though. but then i accidentally catapulted myself into his leg.

Get obellion or enternal strife anything with dragon element an LBB+ will own it, dont keep at the head once his horns broke go for each foot he will stagger, then the stomach he will fall, after that then keep at the head
Anti wind + BF + Stomach = kill
omg me and a friend we-re fighting Azure lao today and failed and horrible may it be, we were going good
,
1. I died first from get this tripping the lao and as it fell i got hit and died at almost full health
2. then my friend at pretty big health i saw him get hit in the face only just by the tip of the lao’s tail and dead.
3. Then i died again at full 100 health by accidently rolling out of stomach and trodden on by back leg.
Morale of my story is to never think of normal lao tactics when fighting this thing, sometimes, because thats what I have normally always done :S. Or just stay away from the massive legs with rathalos soul armor
I remember old azure lao shun man he easy i did it on first go, plus im a solo player! ive never lost to azure one i use either enteral scism or ultimis heavon an earth, He really dont like my TBDS lol

Ive learned that being with a group of players can be quite bad as well good, me an my 2 mates when for diablos for an example before, they a rookies i aint, we failed due to their mistakes, in my eyes solo is the best because u kno the mistakes etc,
Awesome calculator! Some of the weapons I thought were good aren’t even as high on the list as i figured with the old calc.

I do the killin they can carve up the monsters when im done lol they know if they get in the way of my great sword they will fly across the sky

yup unless you do white hunter quest HR3 and fight the gravios in the areana with tonnes of white velociprey

how many hits do duels land when your using the demonizing combo? isnt it something like 10?

ahhh does that mean that the damage valvues shown by the calc can be mulitplied by 2? seening as how it shows the value for 5 hits? I know the answer might seem a bit obvious but i would like to know lol ^_^ ;

I just noticed: master’s blade is not n the listing, but wolf blade is for some quests. Is it because of sharpness? Because if not, then it must have gotten left out or something.
Master Blade: 280 attack, green sharpness.
Could there be a option for 1st time killing the wyvern? Because when I search about fatalis, it is mainly fatalis weapons
. So a “first time” option should be made 
I’ve repelled Lao+ using Judgement once. I tried the quest again using Blushing Dame, constantly attacking his face but I didn’t manage to slay him, or even repel him. Any tips?
Ok: Here’s an answering comment for all open queries from you guys.
@Giltion: The stomach is his weak point.
@PyroCF: Just use a weapon below the Fatails’ ones. If I would exclude them, the order of the result would still be the same.
@0678 and others: The damage shown here with its number of hits (like 5 for DS) is just for comparision. It should not be used for calculating stagger limits. BTW: You don’t connect each of the 10 hits of a Fury combo, remember that.
Changes:
- SnS on Plessy now uses Neck as its weak point, much better than legs.
- Master Blade added
- more combo hits for DS (7 instead of 5)
- Djinn+ now HR2
- Executioner added

Does this mean that a Kick does more damage to Basarios than a Shining Wyvern Blade’s slash?

why tru dragon jaw is better than judgement if judgement has more attack
Cause Judgment has only green sharpness, whereas true dragon jaw has good blue.

u forgot about gravios venom spear… bad mistake cuz it’s good raw (529) +6 def bonus good blue sharpness and 270 psn attribute I hope u will fix it
with MR5 stuff against rathalos it should have sythe of menace over sieglinde+ because it has same raw plus poison
it may have greater sharpness.
