MH Tri is the complete makeover that the MH series needs.
yeah….. Capcom should have stuck with the system that gave life to the MH series. This game would have rocked on PS3.Looks good but the way the gameplay looks is pretty weak. I can understand that they were all like “ohh motion sensitive! we can use that” but twisting your wrist and flicking aint much of a way to use it. Good idea, horrible execution. Shoulda stayed on Playstation chaps. Ill prolly play it at a friends but other than that they aint getting my business.
Have you read WHY it is on the Wii? The budget cost for PS3 will be much too high. They were literaly forced to change it to the Wii.
They should really just put it onto the 360,I’m sure a majority of the 360-Having Monster Hunter Community would Agree with me,One for the Online play and Voice Chat,and Second the Graphics would still look good if they just put the Effort in making the Graphics look good,I mean look at Turok and how great that looks.

i am going to have to disagree i think this is an excellent idea specially since their man fanbase is the jap. who majority own guess what guys psp and wiis so i understand and agree with what they did.
I don’t care if Japan has mostly wii and psp, by selling the title of monster hunter to wii they gave away a huge money maker for them. Now wii is making all the money off of it and capcom is going to lose a lot fans for doing this. Now with the suggestion of making it for the 360, i don’t disagree though i would like to add on to that,though it will never happen. make more games for multi system use. though i see how that will never work due to the reasons people like the system they like r based almost entirely on the games the systems play. sorry but i wont buy another system just for the one and only decent game that system has.

this is a great idea i agree they should of released it on ps3 but besides that they can live without us fans they have enough over there and for the 360 idea srry but over there noon likes it……they hate microsoft….srry but i think its okay for the wii, its going to give the wii more credit that it needs.

The PS3 isn’t selling for crap, and Capcom is trying their damnedest to get the series more attention in English territories. To that end, putting it on the Wii is just a no-brainer since everyone and their grandmother has one.
I will concede the motion controls are most likely going to be horrible, but that’s what Classic Controller compatibility is for. You don’t see people boycotting Smash Bros. Brawl because it CAN be played with awkward motion controls.
Seriously, stop acting so butthurt about it and saying Capcom is going to lose all their fans. Now, IF they implement a subscription fee like they’re planning for the Wii port of MHG, then I’m all in favour of grabbing some pitchforks and torches. Until then I’ll just settle for a localization of any sort.
hello hunters, I’m sorry to tell you that MH3 is the last of the monster hunter series but were not quite sure yet if it is the last.
I’d have to agree with Munkee – a considerable amount more people have Wiis than PS3s. Adding the fact that that Capcom is going to be making more of an advertising effort in the US, they’re going to gain a lot more fans than they lose.
Oh, also, have you guys taken a good look at the graphics? They’re unbelievable as far as Wii standards go, right up there with Brawl and MP3. Besides that, there’re two control schemes, so there’s nothing to complain about there, either.
I just don’t see how (most of) you guys can bitch about this so much.
I agree. Even if you’re looking at cost, a Wii is cheaper than a PS3, so if you’re talking about not having it come out for the system you own, then Capcom’s STILL going with the cheaper road.
The classic controller should work just fine, and I’ll even bet the nunchuk will work fine too.

I bitch because I’m pissed. I have played monster hunter since I first heard about it coming out for the PS2. Its the game that has kept me on PS systems for so long, its the main reason I bought a ps3, because I heard they were making a MH3 for PS3. Imagine how we faithful felt when we heard it was going to some BS wanna-be system like Wii. I know I’m not alone in saying this.
You bought a PS3 for Monster Hunter? That kind of makes it a $650 game, does it not?

If you can afford a PS3 for MH, you can easily get a Wii.
that’s not my point, i spent so much on ps3 that i cant afford a Wii (plus monster hunter will be the only decent game for that system)
I had learned it was coming out for Wii after I got the system, though that still wouldn’t have changed my mind about getting a PS3. I feel like a hypocrite for saying this but PS3 has better games then Wii, and even if I had heard that MH3 was coming out for Wii before i got the PS3, i Still would have gotten a PS3.
You can also point me to whatever web page you want, my opinion will stand firm, Wii will flop within the next year or 2. That system is being held over a cliff by dental floss, and soon all the people that bought one to get in shape or make there kids more active while still sitting on there asses are going to realize that the Wii is boring. This is basically what it would be like if a little family owned (Wii) business tried to take on Walmart (Play Station and Xbox), its suicide and will not work.
Excuse me? Nintendo is a family-owned business compared to Sony and Microsoft? I think not. Last month, the video game industry grew 12% ($150 million more than last year). If Nintendo had stayed at what they were last year and it was just Sony and Microsoft, things would’ve went down 12%. Fortunately, Nintendo came through with a $300 million increase in profits and is the major reason the video game industry hasn’t collapsed.
We really need to end this debate, though, or at least move it; comments about MH3 is not the place to hold an argument about which major console is better.

The only Game I believe that the PS3 Has that everyone would want to play is Big Little Planet. Aside from that there isnt that much wide variety of games that have the same quality and fun factor as much as its competitors. PS3 is Currently getting beat in Sales by the PS2.
Of what some are saying that the Wii is gonna get Tanked in a few years maybe but highly unlikely. At E3 Sony is planning on Announcing of Lowering the Cost of the PS3 by another 100 making it 300. But without a decent line of games to back it up it isnt gonna help it much.
Think of the Playstation Line up like this. The PS2 is the XP of Windows. PS3 is Vista thats how bad it is looked upon. The Average Gamer focuses on getting a Game Console that has a Decent line up of Games. While others tend to get a Console for perhaps 1-2 games which is a waste of money in majority of others perspective.

here’s how I see it: since every darn game nowadays is coming out for the ps3 and xbox 360, which cost over 200$. now i guess capcom didn’t want their fans too be disapointed by puting the game on an overly expencive system, so they put it on the wii, which is a reasonal amount of money. so fans can enjoy mh3 without having too spend 300$ extra

I personally don’t like the Wiimote/Nunchuck setup for playing but my roommate loves it. You can use the Classic Controller to play using PSP or Old School PS2 Control Schemes.
The underwater battling is smooth and pulled off SO~ well. The older monsters all got serious overhauls on graphics, tactics, hit-boxes, etc. And the newer monsters are as visually appealing as they are fun to fight. The new moves for older weapons are great. EX: GS’s new 3-hit combo. Overhead Slash (Chargeable) > Whack them with the side of the blade for concussion dmg like a hammer > Overhead Slash (Stronger Charge Attack than Regular Charge Attack!!!)
All in all. Worth every penny and game traded that I shelled out for my Wii months ago. All for this game.
to mh beast, acording to ign, capcom is in early development of monster hunter freedom 3,(psp.) which should be a psp version of mh3 tri on the wii rumered to be released on december 31, 2010.
the game should get rid of of the character flexing his muscles after taking an item
and the game is also comming out on psp (MHF3) i mean either with the wii or latter that year it is still under testing thats why no trailer for psp version is out yet !

Hahaha. Where did you get a December 30 release date? Are you retarded? Capcom has said it will be in Q2 of 2010. In Australia and Europe it has been announced for April apparently. US hasnt been announced yet.

Ok for all the people that’s complaining about the people bitching that mh3 is on the Wii you have to see it from our end. We’ve been on MB since its birth on the ps2 up to mhfu and when there’s finally a mh game coming to a next gen system it goes to Wii why would we be happy about that its not coming to the system that started it?
As for everyone owning a Wii,I don’t and I never plan on owning one. I know a lot of people who are gamers and wont buy a Wii. The Wii is a kid/family system so yeah its cheaper so more people might have one than a ps3 or 360. All but what…5 games for the Wii are for kids whereas ps3 and 360 are more teen/adult. How many lil kids will get mh3 and put it down just as fast cause they keep dying?Plus look at all the games the Wii doesn’t get. It can’t handle what the ps3 or 360 can and it definitely doesn’t have the graphics like they do.
You really think Mh wouldn’t sell just as good if not better on ps3 or even 360 than on the Wii? Look at lost planet 1 & 2…pretty much mh with guns and for those who played lp1 or the demo for lp2 I’m sure you noticed that when you pick up a heavy gun the Guy reloads the same as you do with a heavy/bowgun and somewhat rolls the same. Mh would work so much better on the other 2 systems than Wii.
@Matthew: LOL! Forced to go to Wii? May I remind you that in Japan, Monster Hunter’s sales are comparable to how Halo and Gears of War sells over here? The MH division of Capcom are freaking loaded, they have enough money to make about four top-quality games on the PS3 simultaneously. They put it on the Wii because lower graphics and less content = less cost while a broader and less picky userbase = more profit.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect a gaming company to go bankrupt just to appease a small fanbase, but that’s not the case here, it’s just the MH devs wanting a seven-figure income instead of a six-figure one.
Also, inb4 sony fanboy claims. I only own a 360, would’ve bought a PS3 for a proper next-gen MH though.
