I think it safe to assume that most PSP owners have a copy of MHFU, so if MHFU didn’t reach it’s “projected sales” it’s because they were expecting to sell more copies than there are PSPs.
This is just…. ugh….
Here’s a question, if MHFU “performed weakly” then what PSP game did better?

My first thought after reading Apeman’s comment:
No, I will not. I will by the game, buy merchandise, and punch out people that pirate the game, but I won’t go out and buy multiple copies of a game to satisfy Capcom’s unrealistic goals.
My second thought:
I think I may have warped the disk from playing it so much, maybe I should buy another copy…. or a new PSP…. or both….
Seriously though, it’s really loud when it access the disk, I’ve been trying to decide if there’s something wrong with the PSP or the disk, or if it was just always that loud and I had never noticed before.
my friend’s copy of freedom 2 bent within its casing and was destroyed when the disc rubbed against that casing. so i wouldn’t doubt the possibility that it could happen again.
So yes, buy another copy!

Compared to the sales figures in Japan, this amount is pretty low.
I think that for each 1 person who bought the game, at least 4-5 people downloaded it, so the ratio of people who play and people who bought the game is quite different.
Then again, every other PSP title barely sells either, so I guess the MHFU fans should be patting themselves on the back for supporting the series. Especially considering most people on the supporters page own an original copy of 2ndG as well…
