Well, dont be so imaginable that capcom will take their weapons’ or armors’ name from old ones to new ones… it’s like a new character that you used before ,but you made another one with same name ,but little bit cooler. Isn’t that kinda boring? well, think first before you say something like that Showing Off Hunter’s Muscles. Will they(capcom) make a game without planning or thinking about it?

By The Way, the “World’s End” is the last upgraded version, i think its Ops Gunlance…

Ebony Wings came from Nargacuga materials… it’ll show if you got a heavenly-narga-scale or you just killed him…

hr3 rulz, but i only killed one lunastra killing tigrex has always been easy for me. looking for a good ice weapon against hr3 diablos. cant get 20 machalite ores to complete devil slicer!!!!!!!!!! full tigrex set rocks. rusted replica and hero of kokoto replica are cool 2.

trying to get hr4.teostra is easy. brother keeps asking for my save file -.- workin on the red and green wyverns. cant beat four horns to get to g rank!!!!!!!!!!!! whats your guys progress?

well yeah, it would be too easy too heal, like in those other dumb turn based rpgs, but my 8 year old bro is always shouting “WHY WONT YOU STOP SHOWING THEM OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he never finds safe spots to heal, so when we do 2 player, he dies all the time, im like ftw!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed, without the gesture it would be too easy to heal. Capcom did a lot to encourage watching and learning a monster’s patterns, finding safe times to heal being one of them. Imagine the number of people that would just load up on potions, megas, and herbs and charge headlong at the monster without thinking if not for the gesture.

BTW, I noticed that Wailing Cleaver has a cloth wrapped around the sheath that matches whatever color you set for your chest armor. Are there other weapons that do this sort of thing? So far Wailing Cleaver is the only one that I have that does that.

Your hunter doesn’t show his/her muscles…
It’s a gesture that shows that your character feels better,
and they did that to make healing harder, because you would spam your potions if your character didn’t make that gesture.

i still wonder why capcom programed the the hunter to show off his musles when he heals……..

it gets so annoying when you’re hunting a tigrex, you heal, he charges, and you got to heal again.

Boy am I torn about the name changes. Some I like, “World’s End” and “Shadow of the Moon” being examples. Others are just lame, i.e. “Darkness Darkblade” (repetitive AND redundant) and “Wailing Cleaver Shin” (I was looking forward to wielding the “True Howling Devil”)

I really wonder what goes through Capcom’s collective heads when they make some of these choices….
