Bullshit Monster Hunter Freedom Review

I’ve just stumbled across one of the most bullshit ‘reviews’ ever. This guy has clearly never played Monster Hunter Freedom.  Imagine a restaurant critic not going to an Italian eatery, but claiming “The place serves pizzas and pastas.  The range of different toppings is varied, with some meat.  There are several different waiters, each with their own names,  and you have to pay at the end.  Both colours of wine are available”.  That’s what this is.

Highlights include:

The more the number of upgrades the players collects the more is the strength of his characters

What upgrades?  Different weapons?  The more different weapons you get the more powerful you become?  Get me 89 bone katanas, because you are misinformed.

The trap for the animals must be well laid and executed. These features spicy up the game and increase the fun factor encircling it.

Pitfall traps play an entirely marginal part in Freedom, which goes to show that you’ve grasped the concept of hunting, but have clearly never actually played the game.  I should point out that even in context, this doesn’t make sense.  Read the review, and then remember what % of the game involves capture.

All the characters battle it out to prove themselves as the best in the world.

All what characters?  The NPC who brags to you throughout the game?

Head over to the main review if you feel like picking out your own mistakes.

Another half fast Monster Hunter Review.

    I gave the review a 1/5 star.

  • thraadash:

Sounds like he mixed up Dissidia with Monster Hunter.

  • draconacticus:

    “The complex plots…”

Complex plots? Kill the monster? That’s complex? Have I missed a huge chunk of the game out? Is there a sub plot by which you hunt the monsters only to find the monsters were on the side of good all along and then you have to overthrow the maniacal village elder only to find she’s your father?

Me finks da reviewer gots da lurnin diffycultees.

I might make my own up.

This game is based around other monster hunter games that came before. This one is based around hunting monsters, but there is generally more freedom. Hunting is downe with weapons, of which there may be more than one. The boss monster is a red dragon who flies. There is also a large sword in the game which the main character uses. The aim of the game is to hunt all the monsters. Once you have hunted the monster you need to hunt, the level is complete. There is more than one level.

See? You don’t even need to read the back. Just look at the picture on the front.

    RAGE!!!
    I’v seen worse though :/
I remember (I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to find it again though) a video, in which the reviewer (srsly, iz big site) gave the viewer more than a hundred reasons why this game could’ve been better and in what perspective.
E.g. Newb: “The text in this game scrolls too slow.”
    zOmG HAO i sped uP t3xt apearing?!1
Kid wearing Hr. 1 equipment (barely understands the mechanics of the game) and yells that this game isn’t as good as people say it is. Just another one of those reviewers who spend two hours on a game and think they can write a complete review of it afterwards…

  • Yeah, that’s pretty rubbish, but at least he wasn’t saying its a terrible game, he’s just an idiot who read the back of the game and tried to write a review.

Also, thank you FFHA, I can’t stand game reviews in magazines anymore. Its pretty obvious they just hand out games to the reviewers who in turn play the first 10 mins of the game then try to sum it up. Idiots.

  • Dead Ant:

He acts like the Pokke Farm is an intricate part of the game, when in reality you spend about 2 mins there at the most after a quest.

  • LOL:

i dont get it, its ok but maybe the review is for people who havnt played freedom2 lik me

  • retardedisu:

well from reading the whole review, i found nothing wrong. in the highlight reviews though……….

“The more the number of upgrades the players collects the more is the strength of his characters

What upgrades? Different weapons? The more different weapons you get the more powerful you become? Get me 89 bone katanas, because you are misinformed.”

who ever wrote the “What upgrades? Different Weapons?” did not understand it.he/she is the misinformed one. if you look at it and undertsand, he is saying that the more powerful your weapon/armor is the stronger you are. he didnt say anything about having lots of many weapon and being strong

The Pitfall traps, the perosn who posted this “bullshit review page” is going to another topic. yes the pitfalls spice up the game and must be well executed. What’s wrong with that!?

i must agree with the last though, with who?

  • Azrael:

No. Tell me one thing that you can upgrade in MHF that increases strength the more you have of them.

And the “trap for the animals must be well laid and executed” in the context he wrote, makes it sould like every quest involves trapping something first in a pitfall. That’s the impression I got.

  • I think the real issues is the grammar and truly poor writing by the person who wrote the review. If you’re going to review a game, at least take the time to re-read what you’ve described to ensure it makes even a little sense.

  • LOL:

    charms and talons.

and what he meant was the higher your upgrade is, the stronger you are……….

example (based on F2 statistics) You are HR3, you wana upgrade your Spartacus to Siegmund, you need HR5 mats for siegmund. now you increase your HR to HR5 and you have siegmund, you had like 6-7 upgrades and you have a weapon that has 1056 attack, you are now stronger because you had more upgrades than before, if we talk on one wep.

but yea reading it again and again, you could be like “I UPGRADED MY 90 BONE LONGSWORD TO 90 LARGE BONE LONGSWORD YEA IM STRONG” yes he got lots of upgrades but hes still a noob

  • L4T1N_HUNT3R:

OMFG!! Please hunt down this guy, cut his hands so that he can´t write anything else, then cut it´s tong and feed it to a melynx.
    And write “DICK”on his forehead..
